In the spirit of the Darwin Awards, what gets your nomination for the stupidest act committed by a human this year?

What chord was George Harrison playing at the start of the song "A Hard Day's Night?" OH I KNOWS, SOLVE IT WITH FOURIER TRANSFORMS!

(See story here)

Coolest thing ever.

Apparently the answer was already known, but that's ok.

Distrust of the media has grown to the point where many people only trust the news if it comes from a comedian. Who do you trust more: Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart?

"Trust" in this context seems to imply that things presented on "news" shows like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report might be false.

I believe that the popularity both shows have received in recent years is due to the fact that most news is depressing or maddening. It is much easier to laugh at the stories that are pissing you off than to feel anger or sadness.

Which show do I think presents the news in a way such that it is thought provoking and funny? I think that Jon Stewart presents a better news show. Colbert, using a character to present his news, is more of a news spoof than a comedic news show.

Aww... the poor little girl that got her intestines pulled out by a pool drain died.

Girl injured in pool accident dies
March 21, 2008

Minneapolis (AP) — Abigail Taylor, the 6-year-old girl whose injury in a swimming pool led to federal legislation to make pools safer, died Thursday evening, her family's attorney said.

Bob Bennett, an attorney for the Taylor family, said Abigail's parents were with her when she died at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Abigail was injured when she sat on a pool drain and its powerful suction ripped out part of her intestinal tract on June 29. She underwent transplant surgery at the Nebraska hospital to receive a new small bowel, liver and pancreas.

She later suffered setbacks, including a cancerous condition sometimes triggered by organ transplants.

I just saw the funniest thing ever...

Tonight on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, they aired a ~5 minute clip of Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, and Conan O'Brien fighting. IT WAS HILARIOUS.

You should watch it....

Right now.
