VW 1L 100km Car:

So apparently VW is making a car by 2010 that goes 100km on 1L of gas.... or approximately 235mpg... seriously!

It looks really cool too, but it looks like it only seats one person comfortably. But heck, most people use their cars and only drive themselves.

Chevy Volt:

Chevy has a concept car called the Volt. It is supposed to run 40 miles without gas. It does, however, run on gas after the initial 40 miles. If you're going 60 miles, it gets 150mpg. If you're going on a long trip, it gets 50mpg. It doesn't look as cool as the Volkswagen.
